Trying get to get a four year old to a fireworks show when she want doesn't want to, is nearly impossible. This was Addie's mother's problem this scorching hot Fourth of July. As the family loaded up the car, Addie simply refused to go. "No!" she defied. Here her mother simply picked her up and put in her car seat, buckling her in. They drove to a bus stop, with a park-and-ride lot, and a shuttle to the fireworks show.Happy 4th of July!!!
Pulling the car in Addie's mother tried, to explain that the fireworks would a colorful light show that would happen in the sky shortly after dark, in hopes that she would change her mind and agree to go. She tried to get her daughter to come but, Addie wouldn't budge. The preschooler was stubborn. After minuets of trying to tell her how much fun it would be, the mother decided to try another tactic. "Addie, I know it's not what we normally do, but come on, it will be an adventure. Don't you want to have an adventure?"
At that Addie agreed to come on the adventure, and get on the bus. Addie in fact enjoyed it so much, she asked her mother when the next fireworks show would be, and insisted that they had to go. That is how you get a four year old to go to a fireworks show.
