Fairy Troubled: A Girl Power Adventure (Part 7)

Mrs. Ridley arrived at the hotel, parked her car near the front door. She grabbed Violet in her baby seat and carried her up while Elina got the diaper bag and they headed in and up to Mrs. Ridley's room on the 7th floor, half way up the building. Once in the room Elina's mom set Violet down, still in the seat on the floor. She kissed Elina's forehead, "Good luck. I'll bring a pizza for a late lunch, around one." Finally she rushed off to the book conference.
Elina carefully and painfully took Violet of her car seat and set her on the unmade bed. When Violet was lying on a mat that had been set by Elina's mom on one side at the head of the bed, she woke up.
            "Wahhhhh!" Violet cried.
Elina stood next to her and cooed, "Hi, Vi, Mom's out, but I'm here." That stopped Violet's crying. "You probably want something to play with." Elina walked to the diaper bag, dug in to see if there was a toy she could give her sister. She found her sister's pacifier and a plush ball. She went to the bed and gave Violet the ball.  Scratching Elina with her long nails Violet took the ball. "Ouch," Elina pulled back and a bolt of light passed amongest her fingers.
Elina instantly stopped herself but that made Violet smile. "You like that?" I think it's weird myself. It scares me to think I could burn a person." Elina sat down on the bed in her mom's spot and set Violet in her lap.

Announcement: Ronan and Jewel

I have finished my first draft of Ronan and Jewel. And for my second draft I am working on some changes to the prologue. So the prologue for the book will likely be different from the prologue online. Maybe I will put the final prologue online when I'm ready to publish the book. Additionally I"m working with possible different titles for the story. Maybe highlighting the fact that she is an agent of C.O.D.A. I'll post more about that when I decide. But for now here's a synopsis:

Ronan and Jewel is about an Jewel, ace spy and her boyfriend, Ronan. For Jewel spying is in her blood but relationships don't come quite as naturally. When her boyfriend purposes, she's caught between her double life, trying to decide if she can have a family and be a spy.
Ronan and Jewel is a spy romance with lots of drama and plot twists in every section.
